Frogs Here...Frogs There...
Today our 7th Graders embarked on one of the most exciting science projects that we do at the HAMC...Frog Dissection!! The students split up into groups and Mrs. Wynn distributed the frogs, instruction packets and dissection tools. The 7th Grade can't wait to jump right into this "froggy" experiment as the week goes on!
4th Graders Go Back in Time to the Colonial Days
"Hear ye! Hear ye!
Welcome to the Fourth Grade Colonial Fair!
Our 4th Graders have gone back in time to the Colonial days of the 1700's in New Jersey. We have converted our classroom into many craft shoppes for you to visit. In those days, master craftsmen would take young apprentices and teach them their trade. Our 4th grade town has many talented craftsmen too, and we want YOU to be our apprentices! Every shoppe has interesting things for you to SEE and DO.
Be sure to visit our Calligrapher, Potpourri Shoppe, Toymaker, Potter, Broom Maker, Apothecary, Baker, School Master, Tinsmith, Stenciler, Weaver and Candler!
Please try to visit them all and HAVE FUN!"
Tzeitchem L'Shalom to Lior and Noga...
Yesterday we said goodbye to our Rishonim, Lior and Noga, after an incredible year of learning about Israel and its culture with them. As a final activity, they planned for us אם כל ההפסקות, "The Recess of all Recesses" where they encompassed all of the awesome activities that we have done over the year into one amazing recess! We ate chummus and pita, relived the Tel Aviv Beach, danced to Israeli music and so much more! Lior and Noga also put together a beautiful slide show of pictures and videos that capture their time spent with us at the HAMC (see video below).
Lior and Noga, we will miss you so much and we will see you in Israel! B'hatzlacha Rabah!!

Congratulations to the 2nd Grade on receiving their very own Chumashim!
The enthusiasm and energy that the students exuded throughout the entire Chumash Play program was incredible. It was obvious how excited they were to finally receive their chumashim after all of their hard work preparing for the day. Mazal Tov!

5th Grade Explores the USA
A Message from 5th Grade teacher, Mrs. Marash:
On May 23, 2012 the 5th Grade presented their research reports in our annual States Festival; each student had to research one state. For ten weeks the children researched twenty-five facts using books, almanacs, encyclopedias, the Internet and i-Pads to aid them in completing their project. The class's beautiful finished products were displayed and discussed during the festival. The children also sang and shared snacks from their states.
I was totally impressed by the class's diligence and enthusiasm during the research and at the presentation. The 5th Grade did an outstanding job and I am so proud of them.

1st Graders Receive their Siddurim!
In culmination of our 1st graders mastering so many of the tefillot (prayers), they received their very own Siddurim to use to recite those prayers. During their "Siddur Play" they sang us through the prayers of the Siddur, thanked their parents for all that they do for them and individually received their Siddur from Moreh Moshe and their teachers. The morning concluded with a special family breakfast overflowing with excitement as the students showed off the beautiful Siddurim to their parents.

A Tree Grows in Randolph
Seven months have passed since the Kindergarten planted a tree in the front of the school. What started as a couple of seeds has transformed into a beautiful little tree. This morning, the Kindergartners and Mrs. Gilbert ventured outside to see how their tree is doing...and they were all thrilled to see that it is doing great and looks healthy!

Tea Time with Mommy
In honor of Mother's Day coming up this Sunday, our adorable 2's and 3's had a very special program with their mommies this morning. They decorated flower pots together, ate and drank tea (iced) and cookies and then shared their favorite songs about Mommy! The program was the perfect thing to celebrate all of the amazing things our mother's do for us.
Playing with Worms...
Today in science class, Mrs. Gilbert taught the JK and ECC students all about earth worms. The kids were so brave and picked up the worms with their hands from their cups of water. They loved the slimy feeling of them and some of the students even named their worms!
Flowers for Mothers Day!
Our Kindergarteners made beautiful flower pots with Mrs. Gilbert to give to their mommies for Mother's Day :)
