Otzi The Iceman 6th Grade Presentations
Last week the
6th grade presented PowerPoint presentations on Otzi The Iceman, a prehistoric
man who was discovered on September 19, 1991. The class was
divided into four groups. The groups focused on different aspects of Otzi
from the discovery of the corpse to how and when he died. With
the use of technology, the students were able to bring this piece of history
back to life!

Kindergarten visits the GRTW Academy Construction Site!
The Kindergarten class read a story about a boy who goes
with his father to work on a construction site where they are building a new
school! To bring this story to life the class took a visit to our own Gottesman
RTW Academy construction site, where they were able to see real life machines,
trucks, and construction workers just like they had learned about in their
story.

Point of View
The 4th grade did a Language Arts lesson recently on
point-of-view. They were grouped with partners and asked to put on different
glasses representing different characters of varying ages and interests. The goal was to view the world through someone else's eyes.Through this activity,
students became more aware and respectful of the opinions and feelings of
others.
