Middle School Science

Great things are going on in the Middle School Science Lab! 

The eighth graders are playing "Headbands" with Chemistry vocabulary before a test. 





While the sixth graders are measuring the heights of their Brassica rapida plants in their seed crowding experiment.

4th Grade Poetry

The 4th graders memorized the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.  For fun, some children choreographed the poem in rap style! 

The Road Not Taken


By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The 2013 to 2014 Student Government

Everyone did a wonderful job campaigning for Student Government! Each candidate spoke beautifully at election day last Friday and we are so excited to announce the 2013 to 2014 Student Government!

A Wine Tasting Evening

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a Wine Tasting Evening.

All proceeds went to benefit the Jason K. Jacobs Memorial Early Childhood Scholarship fund at the Hebrew Academy of Morris County. This fund, which provides partial ECC tuition to families in need, was established by the family of Jason Jacobs, who was lost on 9.11.01.

5th Grade Science!


The fifth grade science class investigated the question:  Which airplane flew the farthest?  Each group decided what to test: the length, weight or style of a plane.  Each group then designed an investigation, making sure to closely follow the scientific method; our current unit of study.

Math Teamwork


The 4th graders are completing a unit on Graphs. To learn about Statistics we divided the class into teams. Each team worked with a set of data- gathering, organizing, analyzing, interpreting  and presenting their findings of range, median, and mode.
